Mike is currently an Osiris OTI trainer, and has worked extensively in schools in England and Guernsey as part of the 12 day OTI programme.
Mike has also delivered 1 day CPD traniing in the UK, as well as in Dubai and Dusseldorf.
From September 2014, Mike's 1 day CPD event, The Perfect Science Lesson, will be available through Osiris.
Mike has written extensively for Pearson at Key Stages 3,4 and 5. He was co-author of the best-selling series Exploring Science 8 and has written GCSE materials, most notably 21st Century Science and Higher Science. Mike is currently authoring the new AS and A level OCR Physics materials for Pearson which will be released in 2015.
Mike has presented a national conference for OUP,focusing on the development of literacy and numeracy strategies within the KS3 science classroom.
Mike has regularly written a monthly article for Optimus Education's G&T Update entitled Lesson Snapshots. These focus on how to use pedagogical techniques to develop and improve thinking skills for the more able.
In addition, Mike has also written articles with a focus on questioning, action research in MFL, developing students' skills in their transition from GCSE to A Level English and preparing for, and succeeding in, BMAT, UKCAT and LNAT examinations.
